This CV was taken from the exhibition card sent out by Die Kunskamer, Cape Town, on the occasion of Jan Buys' exhibition of paintings which opened on 27th August, 1974.

We also have on file a copy of the invitation card to Jan Buys' opening at Gallery 101, Rand Central, Johannesburg, on 5th April, 1961 - opening by the Hon. Justice J.F. (Kowie) Marais from Pretoria - which at the same time was the opening exhibition of this new gallery in Johannesburg's city centre.
